We offer you a total Wedding Package
that will take the hard work out of planning a
Wedding Reception, leaving you free to
enjoy and Celebrate this special day.
The following pages contain details
pertaining to the features of the
Restaurant and surrounding Garden.
- The Restaurant -
The Restaurant is an open plan space with fully equipped Bar and cosy Lounge area. Decorated in warm tones, the room is large enough to cater for up to 130 guests, yet can be adapted for smaller groups. A large Maplewood Dance floor makes up part of the space.
Uniting the Restaurant and the garden is the sun-filled Garden Room. This is a multi-purpose room that can be used for casual seating, dancing, presents, etc. In the event of poor weather, this room can be used as an alternative venue for an outdoor Ceremony.
- Wedding Ceremonies -
The Restaurant leads on to a delightful Rose garden - a perfect area for Wedding Ceremonies and pre-dinner Hors Dourves. Should you opt to hold your Wedding Ceremony in the Garden, we can provide minimal seating and a Stereo system for pre-recorded music. There is no extra charge for this service.
- Confetti -
We request that only bio-degradable Confetti be used.
(eg: dried flower petals).
- Menu -
Whether you prefer an A la Carte-style Meal or a Cocktail-style Reception, The Happy Chef will provide a menu to suit. We do not do Buffets for Weddings.

We can cater for any specific dietary requirements, including Vegetarians.

Please make three choices from each course.
Many couples opt to have their Wedding Cake as the Dessert Course. If you choose to do this, we will serve the cake with an accompanying dessert sauce and cream. There is no extra charge for this service. However, if you prefer to have a Dessert selection, we will create one to suit your tastes.

- Beverages -
Many couple opt to pay for their guests Beverage consumption, however it is becoming more common for guests to contribute to this cost.
A Standard Bar Tab would make Soft Drinks, Juice, Draught Beer, House Wines, Champagne and Tea & Coffee available to your guests. You may set the limit of this Tab according to your budget.

- Flowers & Decorating -
As everyone’s tastes are different, so are all Weddings. We will endeavour to decorate the room according to YOUR specific tastes and design ideas.
We provide a floral centrepiece for each table in flowers of your choice, plus one or two other arrangements throughout the room. The Bridal Table is decorated with a larger arrangement.
The Tables are set with white linen tablecloths and white serviettes. (Coloured serviettes are available on request). Further decorations include tea light candles and Menus printed in a colour and design of your choice.
- Entertainment -
Organising Entertainment is the responsibility of the Bride and Groom. Musicians, DJs, etc, will need to provide their own PA system.
We have a Microphone available for speeches if required.
- Costs -
There are three costs to consider when holding your Wedding Reception at The Happy Chef: The Hire Fee; The Menu Price and The Beverage Account.
